Christmas 2007
As Gina Fries, Catering Manager at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, said it best when talking about our Holiday Party, “Words cannot express how wonderful and far-reaching this Party really is for these families. This Holiday Party goes beyond anything that these families could ever expect or want!”
Our Christmas is made by being able to host this Holiday Party. We are so blessed to have many wonderful volunteers who not only donate their time but their talents too. We want to thank Linda Hoff who made the cutest table decorations for our party. The families were able to take these stuffed snowman back to their room as a lasting reminder of the joy these received from this Party. A great big thank you goes out to Mike Evans who photographs the families for us so that they have a lasting memory of this very special night. We also would like to thank Gapper attending this Party every year and to Who Dey as well as National City for donating his services. We had so many wonderful people who hand-made quilts for us that we were able to present the Heart Center with 73 quilts. We would like to thank Gina from Childrens and the two special people who make sure that our Party has everything we need, to Kojo and Udonis, we thank you! They have been with us for every Party as well. And lastly, to our many volunteers who take their time to wrap presents and to help make this Holiday Party a success - we thank you from the bottoms of our hearts and double lungs!
Our goal is to "Wow" these families only if it is for a few short hours - but that magical feeling, we hope, will last forever! |

Ronald McDonald House Themed Dinner Party-It's Abracadabra Time!
Saturday, February 2, 2008
|
Our next Ronald McDonald House themed dinner party is scheduled for Saturday, February 2.
If you ever want to help with one of our dinner parties, it's a volunteer experience for the whole family. We arrive at 4pm and start decorating and start cooking and at 5pm we have crafts for the children and at 6pm, we have a delicious home-cooked dinner.
Our theme this time is "Abracadabra" and we have a magic show scheduled for 7pm to entertain the families.
Our goal for these dinner parties is to rejuvenate the families living at Ronald McDonald House. We lived in Cleveland and Philadelphia Houses for about 8 months in total so we can understand what these families are going through. Our mission is to boost these families spirits so they can continue caring for their sick child.

Foundation Wrap Up: Closing Notes
2008 is going to be great!!!
We're very excited about everything we have coming up this year starting off with our American Girl Fashion Show auditions and then the shows themselves in April, we have 4 unique Ronald McDonald Themed Dinner Parties as well as a new location for our 8th Annual Golf Outing! We will also have 25 new scholarship recipients in June and please save the date for our "Let's Dance for the Heart of It!" on Friday, November 14.
Helping families both emotionally and financially is another area we are planning on increasing both in the numbers and the amount of our grants that we are giving to families who are caring for children with a life-threatening medical condition.
On February 10th, we will be celebrating the 7th year of Aubrey's Foundation! With this comes mixed emotions - that means that Aubrey has been gone 7 years but it also means that through this Foundation in her memory, she has been able to touch many, many children and their families through the love of her family and so many wonderful people who are helping us in very significant ways.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and double lungs for being our significant support!
Love to you and your family from our family!
Jerry, Nancy, Carly, Spencer and Saint Aubrey Hollenkamp
George and Nancy Frondorf, Aubrey's Grandparents
