"Let's Dance for the Heart of It!"
The Aubrey Rose Foundation hosted it's 2006 "Let's
Dance for the Heart of It!" on Friday, November 10. Over 400
people enjoyed the venue and dinner at the Newport Syndicate, live
auction by guest auctioneer, Michael Testa of The Michael Angelo
Auction Company, and music by the Soul Pocket Band.
This fun
event provided the rare opportunity to raise $50,000 for the Aubrey
Rose Foundation's "Healing the World's Hearts" program where they will
be bringing Elena, a three year old Russian girl to Cincinnati
Children's Hospital for open-heart surgery and also to pay for funding
a Holiday Party for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Cincinnati
Children's Hospital.
We would like to thank our sponsors for
supporting this wonderful evening: Green Township Firefighters,
Children's Hospital, Crew Capital, ArtBoy and Legacy Financial
Advisors, LifeCenter and Lincoln Financial Advisors along
with our tables sponsors of American Contracting Services, Inc., Duke
Energy, Debbie Nelson, Hal Welge Building Contractor and Miracles for
Life.
We would like to thank everyone who attended this event
as well as those who could not attend but kindly sent in a
donation. Every little bit helps to go towards putting smiles on
the faces of many children and their families.

Foundation Wrap Up: Closing Notes
Friday night at the Dance was a very
special night for us. This was the 6th anniversary of Aubrey's
death and we made it a very festive occasion. We honored her
memory and championed her cause of putting smiles on the faces of many
children and their families. This past Sunday, November 12, would
have been her 9th birthday. Hard to believe it's been that
long.
There was a lot of people who recognized Aubrey this
past weekend and for that, we are truly blessed. We know our work
is cut out for us in raising awareness that the Aubrey Rose Foundation
can help many families with putting smiles on the faces of their
children and ease some of the burdens from having a child with a
life-threatening medical condition.
We thank you again from the bottom of our hearts and
double lungs for making our weekend reminders of Aubrey truly
special.
